Junior Coach Walter is a student at the Blackstone Elementary School in the south end with Coach Gianna. Walter has stepped up on and off the recess yard during his time of being a Junior Coach. He leads by example through the hallways, supports Coach Gianna by making sure the students are ready to play at recess, and is there for kids when they need support. After his first two weeks, he volunteered to introduce the recess games and dismiss classes for play, and has been a great voice in Junior Coach meetings.<\/p>\n
During the month of February, Walter made sure he was able to attend the Junior Coach field trip at Fidelity and ended up being one of the most valuable contributors to discussions and games. He frequently steps up to the challenge of being a Junior Coach and is a leader among the Junior Coach team. Additionally, Walter is a mentee of one of the physical education teachers and balances assisting in gym class with his Junior Coach responsibilities.
