Last month we celebrated National Bullying Prevention Month along with schools, companies, and organizations throughout New England. Our #RealPlayersDontBully campaign featured athletes, local leaders, and influencers across the nation who believe that it\u2019s cool to be kind and that there\u2019s no place for bullying in schools!<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of our regional campaign was a pep rally at the Brookfield School in Brockton, MA on October 17. The event was held\u00a0<\/span>in collaboration with The Sports Museum and the New Balance Foundation. Students were surprised by special guest Cory McGee, a New Balance Athlete and professional middle distance runner.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students participated in a Q&A with Cory. She shared how she stays motivated as a professional athlete and how she has stood up against bullying in her life.<\/span><\/p>\n

We finished off the pep rally with a game of <\/span>Rock, Paper, Scissors All-Star<\/span><\/a> led by Playworks Coach DC. We had every 4th and 5th grader in the school \u2018rocking it out\u2019 and encouraging their classmates alongside Cory McGee and staff members from Playworks, New Balance, and the Sports Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are grateful for our strong partnerships with organizations like the Sports Museum and New Balance Foundation who share our core values. We hope the themes of the October 17 pep rally and our #RealPlayersDontBully campaign will extend far beyond the month of October! Thank you to the Brookfield School and everyone who made this event a success.<\/span><\/p>\n
