Over the course of the school year, Coach Nick has proven to be incredibly responsive, attentive, and dedicated in all aspects of his work. Additionally, Coach Nick has been able to build a strong program and great relationship with all members of the school community. In fact, Coach Nick was able to recruit over 40 runners from his school to participate in the annual Playworks Run for Recess. Coach Nick always has a smile on his face and students love his playful personality.<\/p>\n<p>During the month of April, Coach Nick delivered an ultimate frisbee training to all of the students in the school, exposing many students to ultimate frisbee for the very first time. Ultimate frisbee has become so popular in the school, there is now a frisbee-themed game at every recess. Additionally, Coach Nick has volunteered to create an after school ultimate frisbee team. They practice multiple times a week, and Coach Nick is in the process of scheduling ultimate frisbee games with other Playworks schools so the students can practice their skills.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Nick continues to make excellent happen at this school and in the community by engaging his Junior Coaches in a year-long mentorship project with Fidelity Investments. This volunteer opportunity has students working side-by-side with Fidelity employees, learning the importance of communication, presentation skills, and collaboration. Additionally, students participated in a pen pal program, writing letters back and forth to their mentors at Fidelity. Coach Nick is committed to the Playworks Massachusetts movement.
