For their final lesson, students toured the firm\u2019s offices and learned about the variety of roles employees play to run a company like BBH.<\/p>\n<p>Students learned the history of BBH, which is celebrating its bicentennial (200<sup>th<\/sup>) anniversary in 2018.\u00a0 Students learned how employees use their individual strengths to support BBH in reaching the company&#8217;s collective goals.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2465\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2465\" style=\"width: 435px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2465\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"435\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-900x600.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/new-england\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2018\/08\/IMG_8904-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 435px) 100vw, 435px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2465\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Junior Coaches learning from the Securities Lending department<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>From BBH\u2019s internal communications group, students learned about the benefits of creativity and clarity when sending messages within the company. From the facilities team, they learned the importance of organization and planning. And from the Securities Lending department, students learned the significance of being reliable and proactive when investing other people\u2019s money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy students benefited from learning about different jobs and departments at BBH,\u201d said Playworks Coach Jaime at the Eliot School. \u201cIt gave them insight on how many different roles exist within one place of work, just like how being a Junior Coach requires many different responsibilities. We are grateful for the BBH volunteers who have given their time and opened their office to our Junior Coaches.
