We weren't in an office building. It just looked like it.<\/p>\n

Playworks Metro Boston held a corporate volunteer training for Health Management Resources (HMR), a national healthcare company specializing in weight loss and weight management. HMR, along with its Founder and President Larry Stifler's Stifler Family Foundation, has been our sponsoring partner for The Social Innovation Forum. <\/p>\n

To anyone outside of the training room, we were in HMR's Boston office. But to everyone participating, it was a known fact that we had been transported to the The Hennigan Elementary School in Jamaica Plain, and we were standing on a recess yard, complete with 4-Square and Switch courts. The training had begun!<\/p>\n

Five teams of HMR employees (19 total volunteers!) visited the McKay School in East Boston, the Joseph J. Hurley K-8 School in the South End, the James Otis Elementary School in East Boston, and "returned" to the James W. Hennigan Elementary School in Jamaica Plain. All of the kids loved playing with HMR's honorary recess coaches, but if you check out these pictures you might notice that the adults may have been having even more fun than the kids…<\/p>\n
