DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Ninth Annual Playworks Run for Recess\, a family-friendly 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday\, May 19. \nRun for Recess offers opportunities for the whole family to get involved at Franklin Park’s world-famous cross-country course adjacent to the zoo! All participants will enjoy a fun family environment\, an electronically timed race\, and an awesome gift bag. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers\, and certificates will be distributed for various age and gender categories. \n\n\nWhen\nSaturday\, May 19\, 2018 (rain or shine!) \n\nPre-registration and registration opens at 8:30 a.m.\nOne-Mile Fun Run beings at 10 a.m.\n5K Run for Recess begins at 10:30 a.m.\nRecess 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.\n\nWhere\nFranklin Park Playstead Field\, Playstead Road Roxbury\, MA (Pierpont Rd. cross street) \nWhy\nHave fun and support play and physical activity at 140 schools across New England and run a spring race. \nCost\n$10 Youth Entry Fee (Under 18) \n\nOne entry for either the 5K Run for Recess or One-Mile Fun Run\nT-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)\nAll proceeds support Playworks programming\n\n$25 Adult Entry Fee (Over 18) \n\nOne entry for either the 5K Run for Recess or One-Mile Fun Run\nT-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)\nAll proceeds support Playworks programming\n\n$50 Family Fun Pack Fee \n\nFour entries for either the 5K Run for Recess or the One-Mile Fun Run\nT-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)\nAll proceeds support Playworks programming\n\n  \nRun for Recess Presenting Partners\n \n  \n  \nSince 1981\, the New Balance Foundation has served a deeply held mission: to support charitable organizations whose humanitarian efforts work for the betterment of our children and communities.
