Devante is currently a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he works as a science, engineering, and technical assistant at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Before moving to DC to work at Booz Allen, Devante was a student at Columbia University in the City of New York where he graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in Chemical Engineering and was selected as a Senior Marshall for the 150th class of the School of Engineering and Applied Science. While at Columbia, he was a very engaged member of the community and worked as a resident advisor, a research assistant in chemistry and chemical engineering, and a member of student committees centered around improving student housing among other things. Other interests include museums, reading, hanging with friends, and drinking sweet tea.

Hannah is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) working for Booz Allen Hamilton to support our nation’s government in solving their toughest problems. She received her bachelor’s degree in both Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Marketing from James Madison University, as well as the Certified Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) certification from Georgetown University and Booz Allen Hamilton’s partnership executive education program. From Virginia, Hannah is a small-town southern girl at heart and has lived in the beautiful northern Virginia area for nearly four years now. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, cooking, blogging, and reading.

Kate is the Whole Child project manager at ASCD, a nonprofit education association in the Washington, DC area that specializes in innovative approaches to educator professional development and thought-leadership in education. Her work supports ASCD’s Whole Child approach to education, which works to ensure that each child in each school is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. Kate is also a master’s student of Social Enterprise at American University, where her studies focus on education inequity, intercultural training in education, and hybrid education funding models. She previously worked at the Inter-American Dialogue for its education policy reform program in Latin America and the Caribbean. Kate loves to travel in her free time and, when she can’t leave the country, spends her time learning to cook traditional food from around the world.
Molly is a community affairs specialist for CSX Transportation in Washington, DC. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and French Studies from Wake Forest University and is a City Year AmeriCorps alumni. Molly grew up in Towson, Maryland, but has been a local in DC since 2013. In her free time, she loves exploring all that her city has to offer!

Brandon is a marketing manager with Monumental Sports and Entertainment (MSE), which owns and operates the Washington Capitals (NHL), Washington Wizards (NBA), Washington Mystic (WNBA), Washington Valor (AFL), and the Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C. Putnam primarily focuses on innovative marketing strategies, multi-platform campaigns, and business operations for the NBA and WNBA properties. Brandon has been with the organization since August 2013 and has since been promoted to a managerial role. Prior to joining MSE, Brandon developed his marketing expertise with industry leaders ESPN, Proctor & Gamble, and Duke University Athletics Department. Putnam earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and achieved a master’s degree from Georgetown University.

Sahil is the co-founder of Rasa Indian Grill, an upcoming Indian fast, casual restaurant, and currently manages two restaurants: Indique and Bombay Bistro, based in Washington, DC, and Rockville, MD, respectively. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Sahil worked with Deloitte Consulting in their strategy and operations practice. He then joined an experiential education start-up, Experience Institute, where he focused on growth and operations. He has studied, worked, and volunteered domestically and abroad in 15+ countries, and comes alive when designing new concepts, spreading ideas, and connecting like-minded individuals. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing frisbee, and being outdoors.
Rachel is an account executive with Salesforce.org. She supports nonprofit organizations to help them advance their missions to have the most impact through the transformative power of the Salesforce technology. Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law and Public Relations from the University of Central Florida. Rachel is from the Philadelphia area and has been living in Arlington, Virginia for the past three years. In her free time, Rachel enjoys paddle boarding at the beach and participating in long-distance runs, open water swims, and Ironman Triathlons.
Eunice is a senior audit associate at KPMG LLP, in Washington DC. She joined KPMG in 2013, after graduating from the University of Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a master’s in International Business. Throughout her five years at the University of Florida, she was passionate about being on the finance team for UF’s Dance Marathon, raising money for UFHealth Shands Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network. Eunice enjoys cheering on the Miami Dolphins, Real Madrid, and, of course, the Florida Gators. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, being at the dance studio, and traveling to exotic places.

Abby is originally from Miami, Florida. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2009, and went on to receive a master’s in Elementary Education in the spring of 2015. A former Playworks coach in 2011, Abby is the founder and executive director of Just Imagine, a nonprofit organization that prepares inner-city children from Washington, DC for college by providing scholarships to sleep-away camp, access to SAT preparation, college tours, and community service projects. Abby is also the development and communications manager at E.W. Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School, and the varsity girl’s Basketball Coach at School Without Walls. In her spare time, Abby enjoys playing pick-up basketball and tennis, being at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Jacqueline is a senior communications coordinator for the Public Health Team at Burness, a social change communications firm. She joined Burness in 2013 after graduating from the University of Florida with a dual degree from the College of Journalism and Communications and Agriculture Education and Life Sciences. Jacqueline provides communications support and strategic counsel to a number of foundations and nonprofits working on a wide range of public health issues, including childhood obesity, income inequality, the opioid epidemic, tobacco cessation, infant mortality, and more. In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys watching sports (Go Gators!), running a foodie Instagram (@BipartisanBytes), serving as the creative director for a friend’s start-up company, volunteering with Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy, and completing the top 100 books of the 21st century.

Erin is currently the senior marketing consultant at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health. In this role, she supports and facilitates conversations about health among the Center’s diverse customers and visitors. Prior to joining the Center for Total Health, Erin worked in the United States Senate as an advisor on agriculture, nutrition, and labor policy. She graduated from Marquette University in 2004. A proud native of Pittsburgh, Erin has been in DC for more than 12 years.

Bryant is currently working towards a master’s degree in Social Enterprise at American University’s School of International Service. Prior to joining the Social Enterprise program, he was fully immersed in the education reform effort occurring at the District of Columbia’s Public Schools Central Office (DCPS). While at DCPS, he worked to ensure that all families were confident and equipped to support their child’s education. Bryant is a native of the DC area and is an avid fan of the local Go-Go music scene. He was a student-athlete while enrolled at Christopher Newport University as an undergraduate and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle. Bryant aspires to co-create solutions that empower people to be the change that they wish to see. He has built upon the social and emotional lessons he learned from playing youth sports and is excited to be a part of another team dedicated to the benefits of play.
