As a Catalogue Alumnus, Playworks of Greater Washington DC was incredibly honored to present at the renowned Catalogue for Philanthropy’s annual gala, Inspiration to Action on October 29, 2018. Our performance demonstrated the transformative powers of play by using Playworks games as well as our banana cheer. We featured our Junior Coaches, Ivone and Haneefah, Principal Norah Lycknell from Brent Elementary School, and our very own senior program manager, Topher Anuzis. We had a wonderful time engaging with other catalogue organizations, representing the arts, education, environment, and human service communities, as well as learning about their meaningful work in the Greater Washington Area.

Our Founder Jill Vialet, reflects, “Being at the Catalogue is just an incredible opportunity to showcase the power of youth leadership, the partnerships we have in schools, and the power of play to bring out the best of every kid. They’ve been an incredible support and resource for us growing our program in the metro DC area and we’re just excited to have them as a partner”.
