Twin Cities Staff

The key to our success is the incredible enthusiasm and dedication of the Playworks staff. Please note: Our direct school programs are led by the efforts of our program coordinators in each school in each of the cities we serve. While they are too numerous to list here, they are essential to the success of the program.

Meet some of the people who are bringing play to the Twin Cities:

Tom Evers

Twin Cities Executive Director
Playworks Twin Cities

Tom Evers comes to Playworks after spending ten years with The Trust for Public Land where he helped create places for people to play, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors - including city parks, community gardens, and natural areas.  Prior to serving as the Director of Philanthropy and Regional Marketing Manager for TPL, Tom served as a state park ranger and youth crew leader with the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps.  Tom earned his Masters in Public Affairs from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and is can often be seen playing with his family in the local Minneapolis parks and school yeards.

Caroline Church

Program Associate
Playworks Twin Cities

After a year exploring Boston and the book publishing world, Caroline is excited to be back in the Twin Cities working with Playworks and supporting AmeriCorps. Caroline began her own AmeriCorps journey as a College Access Coach with College Possible at Johnson High School in St. Paul. When not in the office, she will be pursuing her Masters in Education with Augsburg College and weeding her vegetable garden.

Rosemary Naeger

Program Manager
Playworks Twin Cities

Before her recent move to the Twin Cities, Rosemary proudly called the Second City home. She spent six years in Chicago, managing productions for non-profit theatre companies. She graduated from DePaul University with her Elementary Teaching Certificate and went on to serve at an Expeditionary Learning School for a year through a local AmeriCorps program. There, she co-taught academics as well as many playful endeavours, such as swimming, biking and African drumming. Ready for a new adventure, Rosemary set off for Atlanta to serve a second AmeriCorps term with Outward Bound, in which she began and coached a Girls on the Run team, worked with youth to build a sustainable school garden and led youth wilderness experiences. Rosemary is excited to not only join the staff of Playworks but the community of the Twin Cities in bringing dynamic experiences with play to young people.
