Portland Volleyball Season Starts

On Saturday, March 6th, dozens of boys and girls arrived at University Park Community Center for the first annual Playworks Co-ed Volleyball Extravaganza. For two hours students learned volleyball skills and techniques to kick-off the beginning of the season. Coaches, parents and participants were all extremely excited for the event and 6 week season.

For many boys and girls in the Playworks volleyball league not only is this their first experience with the sport, but their first experience of being on a team. The opportunity to be a student-athlete and represent for their schools is one that they'll not soon forget.
