New Orleans Staff

The key to our success is the incredible enthusiasm and dedication of the Playworks staff. Meet some of the people who are bringing play to New Orleans. Please note: Our direct school programs are led by the efforts of our program coordinators in each school in each of the cities we serve. While they are too numerous to list here, they are essential to the success of the program.

Dana Greenup

Program Director
Playworks New Orleans

Dana Greenup is the newest addition to the Playworks New Orleans team, joining us as our program director. Dana has served as the assistant director of Ashe' Cultural Arts Center's Kuumba Art Institute, an intensive creative and perfromance art program in Central City that served youth ages 5-14 years of age. She has extensive knowledge of the New Orleans Public School system from her experience as the operations director of the grass roots parents' advocacy nonprofit, Save Our Schools NOLA.

As the program director, Dana will be taking the lead in ensuring that Playworks New Orleans achieves its goal of bringing meaningful and inclusive play to kids in schools. As a New Orleans Public School graduate, she is most excited about the opportunity to help grow the Playworks program within New Orleans, increasing opportunities for healthy play for the city's children.

Mallory Josol

Program Associate
Playworks New Orleans

Mallory Josol moved to New Orleans from Stockton, California in 2006 to serve as a part of AmeriCorps. After serving with City Year Louisiana, JumpStart New Orleans, studying Urban Planning at the University of New Orleans and working on the ServiceNation campaign to expand national service Mallory feels very lucky to continue to be empowered by the hardworking and inspiring individuals at Playworks New Orleans. She appreciates the opportunity to help make a real difference in a child's life even if not through direct and everyday contact. She also enjoys helping to uphold the standards and promote the mission of AmeriCorps as national service and volunteering is a passion for her. In her free time, Mallory likes to take in the New Orleans music and food and cheer on the New Orleans Saints. Who dat?!
