Playworks Denver will be having our first 5K/10K Run for Recess on May 6, 2012 at Sloan’s Lake Park. We need Volunteers from 7am-12pm. Below are the opportunities we have available for this date.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Bike Leads - 2 Volunteers Needed
We need fast bike riders to stay in front of the lead runners, leading the way safely & swiftly. This volunteer position will serve for the entire length of the race. We need one bike lead for the 10K which begins at 8:30am and one volunteer for the 5K which begins at 8:35am.
Registration Station Volunteers - 6 Volunteers Needed
Registration Station Volunteers will work with the Race Director to assist runners who sign up for the race on the day of the race. This position requires the ability to multi-task and we are seeking detail-oriented people with good organizational skills. Registration Station Volunteers report at 7am to sign-up the last minute folks who really want to run for recess!
Hydration Station Volunteers - 6 Volunteers Needed
Running a 5K or a 10K makes runners and walkers very thirsty. Our Hydration Station Volunteers will help race participants to the finish line by giving them water to drink as they make their way around the course. Hydration Station Volunteers duties include table set-up/tear-down with cups & water. These water giving volunteers will also cheer runners on during the race. A great volunteer opportunity for Student and Volunteer Groups! This volunteer position requires reporting at 7:45am-end of race.
“Clean-up Crew”- 4-6 Volunteers Needed
Here at Playworks, one of our agreements whenever we’re in a group setting is to “leave no trace.” The Volunteer Clean-Up Crew will help us do just that by picking up after the race is finished. This position requires reporting at 10am for specific assignments.
