Charity Running
Team Playworks is an exciting and fun charity event that supports play for over 10,000 students in Baltimore.
Whether you are an elite athlete or a novice, you can join Team Playworks at the Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2013.
Challenge yourself by running or walking in your choice of the 5k, Family Fun Run, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or four-person Team Relay. After running through the streets of Baltimore - beyond Camden Yards, the Inner Harbor, Canton, and even through Fells Point – you'll cross the finish line in the parking lot of M&T Bank Stadium where you'll find loads of cheering spectators rooting you on!

Playworks is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to making sure every child has a chance to play every school day. Playworks stops the chaos on the playground, shifts behavior and accelerates learning.
Playworks is a national nonprofit that partners with 300 elementary schools, in 23 cities across the country. In Baltimore, Playworks partners with 24 Baltimore City Schools.

Race Entry Fee:
Pay a minimal fee of $25 to join our team and we’ll cover the rest of your race entry fee. This contribution will help offset team expenses. Children running in the Kids Fun Run join for FREE!
Choose from one of the following races:

We’ve set the bar high this year -- our goal is to recruit 150 runners and raise a total of $40,000 for Team Playworks!
We ask that each runner (no matter which race) raise a minimum of $100.
The money will help ensure 10,000 students in Baltimore City Schools have access to safe, healthy, and inclusive play every day!
Click on the link to the registration form for the Baltimore Running Festival. Please print the form and fill it out. Each participant will only need to pay the $25 entry fee. If you are writing a check, please make it payable to Playworks. After the form is complete, email it to ddowning@playworks.org, fax it to 443.927.7248, or mail to:

*Here are a few tips to make the registration process go smoothly*
- Make sure all necessary blanks on the registration form is filled out.
- Note everything is required to properly finalize the registration process
- Make checks payable to Playworks.
- Note only the Fun Run is free for kids. $25.00 is still needed if child is running in another category
- Please sign and date at the bottom of registration form when completely finished.
Once we have received your completed form, we will send you a link to set up a quick and easy fundraising page that you will be able to share with your contacts. This will make it simple for people to support your run and help you reach your fundraising goal of $250!
Use this fundraising kit to collect donations. Can't make it to the race -- sleep in and make a donation to Team Playworks Baltimore to show your support!
If you know other runners that would be interested in running for Team Playworks, please share my contact information. If we have 150 runners registered with Team Playworks, we will be able to have a charity tent on race day. This will make it easy for our team to meet and celebrate before and after the race.
