November/December Superhero of the Month

  1. Updates

Coach Kelsey is in her third year with Playworks Arizona. After serving as a coach for two years, Coach Kelsey has transitioned into a site-coordinator role serving four TeamUp schools in Scottsdale, AZ. She has been the key component in making TeamUp programs successful and though she has very diverse pod of schools, she has built strong rapport with students, teachers, principals, and staff at each site. She is not only a power coach but also a school-wide supporter, as she attends extra programs and events at each of her schools.

Coach Kelsey has been an instrumental part in two very successful beautification projects. She not only shows up with enthusiasm but also shares her experiences with the volunteers. Kelsey’s energy is so contagious that her program manager hears positive feedback from students and staff at each of her schools when visiting. They cannot say enough about the amount of support, structure, follow-up, and consistency that she brings each week. Substitute teachers have thanked her for the games they now use in classrooms when they are substituting at all their schools.

Kelsey has the biggest heart and love of Playworks. She genuinely cares about each and every person she works with at the schools. When she is not at her schools, she sends text messages, emails, and has consistent communication with her recess coaches and managers to ensure things are going well. Kelsey performs at 110% every single day and places her schools’ and students’ needs above everything. We are proud to honor Coach Kelsey in helping to #EnergizeAZ.
